Professional Unpaid Firefighters
As a volunteer fire brigade, we serve the needs of our community in Woodford, as well as throughout the Blue Mountains. This includes fire activities, assistance in storm damage, search/rescue - in fact any kind of emergency incident. At times we can be called on for duties around, and outside the state.
*We are always looking for new members to join. You can be come a fire fighter, or simply help us out around the shed. No pressure, no specific time committment - just give what you can. Woodford is a "family friendly" brigade. You can be a fire fighter from age 16 (parents permission needed for 16/17 year olds). Cadets begins at age 14.
The intention of this Facebook page will be to provide a means to link with our local community - both in normal times and times of local crisis. Of course, if there is a fire event, local residents are encouraged to come to the fire station to find out how they can deal with the incident.
